The bail hearing regarding Oscar Pistorius's murder charge has been adjourned until tomorrow at Pretoria Magistrates' Court.
The Paralympic champion has been accused of premeditating the killing of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, who was shot three times through a bathroom door at Pistorius's home in Pretoria, South Africa.
The 26-year-old's affidavit, which was read out by his defence lawyer Barry Roux, claimed that he had mistaken his partner for an intruder, and shot at the bathroom door thinking that Steenkamp was in bed.
After deliberation, magistrate Desmond Nair ruled that the case would be considered as a schedule six offence, which could result in a life sentence and is unlikely to allow bail.
The hearing has been adjourned and will continue tomorrow morning.
