Oscar Pistorius has reportedly been moved to his own police cell to "accommodate to his special needs" following the alleged murder of his girlfriend.
The South African Olympic and Paralympic athlete was charged with the murder of Reeva Steenkamp on Friday. He denies the charge.
Steenkamp was found shot dead at Pistorius's home in Pretoria in the early hours of Thursday morning.
"Oscar has now been moved from the Boschkop Jail to the Brooklyn Police Station in Pretoria due to his handicap needs," entertainment website TMZ quotes a representative of the South African Police Department as saying.
"The normal cell he was in was not suitable for Oscar so he was moved in order to accommodate to his special needs."
Pistorius will remain in police custody until the case continues on Tuesday.
