Paralympic champion Oscar Pistorius has been hit with two additional gun-related charges ahead of his March trial for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
Prosecutors have confirmed that the South African, who competed in both the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London last year, has been formally charged.
According to Yahoo!, National Prosecution Authority spokesman Nathi Mncube said: "The charges are related to the Contravention of the Firearms Act."
Pistorius has already been charged with murder after his girlfriend was shot dead through a bathroom door in the athlete's Pretoria home on Valentine's Day.
