Paralympic athlete Oscar Pistorius could reportedly pay the family of victim Reeva Steenkamp £170,000 in compensation.
The 27-year-old is currently awaiting trial for the murder of his girlfriend Steenkamp, who was shot dead through a bathroom door at the Pretoria home of the South African on Valentine's Day last year.
It is understood that Pistorius's lawyers are keen to settle out of court to avoid a lawsuit from Steenkamp's parents Barry and June, who are reported to be planning to launch civil action against the athlete.
According to the Daily Star, the lawyers representing the double amputee are currently in talks over a settlement, which could reach £170,000.
Pistorius will stand trial in Pretoria on March 2.
