The murder trial of Paralympian Oscar Pistorius has been adjourned until April 7 after one of the judge's assessors was taken ill.
Pistorius, who denies murdering girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp at his home on Valentine's Day last year, had been expected to begin his defence on Friday, but judge Thokozile Masipa explained why the trial cannot continue until next month.
Maspia said: "We cannot proceed this morning, and we are also not sitting next week. One of my assessors is not well, so this court is not properly constituted."
No objections were made by either the prosecution or the defence, which will result in the trial resuming in 10 days' time.
