A Premier League footballer is at the centre of an alleged incident that resulted in a cyclist crashing into the back of the player's car in Manchester.
Rob Lockhart has told The Independent that a matt-black Audi Q7 braked suddenly in front of him while he was cycling through Hale last Thursday evening, causing the cyclist to slam into the back of the vehicle bruising his face and damaging part of his bike.
It has been alleged by Lockhart that the player, who parked on double yellow lines before leaving the car to go to a cash point, refused to give his insurance details, laughing that the cyclist will not be able to find him due to his foreign number plates.
Lockhart posted photos on Twitter of the incident taken by two witnesses, prompting users to identify the footballer, who cannot be named for legal reasons.
Greater Manchester Police are looking into the incident.
