Former NBA star Dennis Rodman has agreed to run basketball camps for children in North Korea and film it for a new show on US network HBO.
The ex-Detroit Pistons forward has agreed to play a demonstration game, along with members of the Harlem Globetrotters, in a bid to create 'basketball diplomacy'.
"These channels of cultural communication might appear untraditional," Sky Sports News quotes the show's host Shane Smith as saying.
"But we think it's important just to keep the lines open. And if Washington isn't going to send their generals, then we'll send our Globetrotters."
Rodman is believed to be hoping that the country's leader Kim Jong-Un will attend.
