Cristiano Ronaldo's girlfriend Irina Shayk was absent from Monday night's FIFA Ballon d'Or ceremony due to "work commitments", according to her PR company.
Rumours have circulated suggesting that the Russian model and the Real Madrid star have split up as she was nowhere to be seen in Switzerland when Ronaldo won his third FIFA title.
The 29-year-old footballer also failed to mention his other half in his acceptance speech, and some have claimed that Shayk has unfollowed the Portugal captain on Twitter.
However, a spokeswoman at Shayk's PR company in New York has calmed speculation by telling Goal.com: "[The Ballon d'Or] didn't fit in with her schedule. It was because of work commitments. We have no further comment to make."
The PR company also claimed that Shayk, who was recently on holiday in the Maldives, has never followed Ronaldo on any of her social media accounts.
