Crusaders winger Nemani Nadolo has said that he was racially abused while on a night out in Christchurch following the Super Rugby final.
The Fijian international was part of the side that lost 33-32 to New South Wales Waratahs at the weekend.
The 26-year-old wrote on Twitter: "After all I've done to contribute to [this] lovely city of Christchurch to be called a UN FIT CHUBBY NIGGA is disappointing. #hurtful."
Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder added: "It was just an idiot, someone from the general public made some pretty degrading and derogatory racial slurs. It's always really disappointing. These things really hurt and shouldn't be condoned or tolerated by anyone."
Nadolo scored 12 tries in 14 appearances for the Crusaders in his first season with the club.
