Seven-time Formula 1 world champion Michael Schumacher remains in a critical but stable condition following a skiing accident on December 29 in the French Alps.
The 45-year-old suffered a head injury when he fell and hit a rock off-piste at the French resort of Meribel.
While doctors at the University Hospital in Grenoble have claimed that the former F1 driver, who has had two operations, is stable, they have stated that his critical condition has not changed.
"He is constantly monitored by the medical treatments that are administered to him," read a statement issued by the hospital.
"However, the medical team responsible underlines that they will not stop to consider Michael's condition as critical."
Fans celebrated Schumacher's 45th birthday on Friday night by holding a vigil at the hospital while dressed in red - representing the colour of the German's former team Ferrari.
