Manchester United and Germany midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger married tennis star Ana Ivanovic in Italy on Tuesday afternoon.
The pair have been together since 2014 and officially tied the knot in a ceremony at Venice City Hall, before boarding a boat along the Grand Canal.
Schweinsteiger was part of the Germany squad that reached the semi-finals of Euro 2016 this summer, while Ivanovic was knocked out in the first round of Grand Slam Wimbledon last month.
Ivanovic, 28, has one Grand Slam singles title to her name, claiming the French Open crown in 2008.
Schweinsteiger, on the other hand, has won eight league titles and one Champions League during a glittering 14-year career in the professional game.
It is understood that Bayern Munich's Thomas Muller and Germany coach Joachim Low were among those in attendance for the ceremony.
