Reeva Steenkamp's mother has revealed that she wants to meet Oscar Pistorius face to face after he killed her daughter.
Last week, the six-time Paralympic champion was sentenced to five years in prison for the culpable homicide (manslaughter) of Steenkamp.
The 27-year-old was cleared of murder after claiming that he mistook Steenkamp for an intruder when he fired four gunshots through a toilet door at his home in Pretoria, South Africa in the early hours of Valentine's Day last year.
Reeva's mother June Steenkamp has revealed in her book Reeva: A Mother's Story that she wants to talk to the convicted killer face to face.
She also wrote: "We want the truth and Oscar is the only person who can fill in the blanks."
South African prosecutors confirmed yesterday that they will appeal the verdict and sentence after it was reported that Pistorius could spend 10 months behind bars and then serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest.
