Vitesse Arnhem chief executive Joost de Wit has reportedly accused former owner Merab Jordania of threatening to cut off his fingers.

De Wit is said to have received police protection after reporting the incident to the authorities and the Dutch FA.

According to the Daily Mail, Jordania, who was unhappy to relinquish control of the club, has denied the accusation and told police that the threats were not intended to be taken seriously.

Jordania has been banned from the club's Gelredome stadium and training ground.
