Nice president Jean-Pierre Riviere has admitted his concerns over the health of midfielder Kevin Anin, who was involved in car crash earlier this week.
It is understood that the 26-year-old was a backseat passenger during a collision, which left him in an artificial coma, on Monday evening.
"I'm not here to announce a diagnosis; it is not my role," Riviere told the club's official website.
"The only certainty is that the accident was serious and the consequences on the life of Kevin will be great. It is not his career that preoccupies me, it is his health. The club will be there for him. Kevin is one of us."
Anin had previously been linked with a move to Arsenal.
