Nottingham Forest have accused a matchday photographer of "unprofessional conduct" during the Championship outfit's clash against Millwall in midweek.
Forest manager Billy Davies is said to have sent a member of his staff to ask photographer Dan Westwell who supplies pictures to the Nottingham Post, where he was from.
Westwell told the staff member that he was from Nottingham when he was approached during the second half of Forest's 2-2 draw with Millwall at The Den.
According to the newspaper, Davies sparked chanting from Millwall fans when he approached the photographer after the game shouting: "Where are you from? Where are you from?"
A statement on Forest's official website: "Due to the unprofessional conduct by a Nottingham Post photographer during the Sky Bet Championship fixture between Millwall and Nottingham Forest, club officials had reason to take the matter further.
"The issue was raised with the steward and the fourth official and then a subsequent meeting between manager Billy Davies and the senior steward took place after the match regarding the incident. The club are aware that the Nottingham Post was represented at the match by Paul Taylor and photographer Dan Westwell."
The newspaper have confirmed that they have written to the Championship outfit to explain the details of the allegations.
