Ospreys player Josh Matavesi grabbed a lift on a private jet in order to get back home in time to be present for the birth of his child last week.
The 24-year-old revealed on Twitter that Ospreys chairman Mike Cuddy allowed the Fijian rugby star to use his private plane to fly from Ireland to Wales.
Matavesi looked as though he would be stranded across the Irish sea when his partner Anna went into labour with their second child, but Cuddy was able to step in.
Matavesi tweeted: "Massive thanks to Cuddy for the private plane just hope the Mrs doesn't drop, be there soon @AnnaSharrock hold on a little longer."
On Sunday, the rugby player revealed on social media that his daughter Masina Karen had been born. He wrote: "This little princess arrived safely at 1:41 early Sunday, Anna and baby are doing fine and both very tired.. Thanks for all the support and messages means so much to us #feelingblessed."
The couple are already parents to daughter Lei'lani.
