Paris Saint-Germain midfielder David Beckham says that he is struggling to grasp the French language.

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder David Beckham has revealed that he is struggling to learn French since moving to the Ligue 1 club.

The 37-year-old has been based in the French capital since signing for PSG during the January transfer window on a five-month deal.

While the former England captain has insisted that he is far from being fluent in the language, the midfielder has claimed that he is "getting by".

When asked by Man About Town how his language skills were going, he replied: "Not very good. I haven't practiced since I was at school. I'm getting by."

Meanwhile, there have been reports that Beckham could extend his stay at PSG beyond the summer.
