Reading chairman John Madejski was escorted away by security when he stormed the stage during a set by singer Paloma Faith.
The 72-year-old was in attendance at Waitrose's summer party at the Natural History Museum this week, when he appeared on stage while Paloma was performing.
The businessman is thought to have tried to give the singer a hug, while he himself has stated that he tried to urge the crowd to quiet down so he could listen to her, according to The Sun.
The scene was watched by the likes of Pippa Middleton and This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield.
