Scotland flanker Ryan Wilson has insisted that he is "a stronger person" after being found guilty of an assault in Glasgow earlier this year.
The Glasgow Warriors player was fined £750, banned for three months by his club and handed a six-month international suspension following the incident in a kebab shop.
The 26-year-old, who is part of Scotland's World Cup squad, told the Daily Mail: "Mentally is has been tough going through what happened. I regret the whole situation, everything about it.
"I have probably done some growing up since and I feel a stronger person. I have been through quite a bit bit I think my head is in the right place now.
"I've learned from what happened and there's no way I'll ever be put in the position again, that's for sure. All I want to do now is represent my country."
Wilson will start in Scotland's World Cup warm-up match against France tomorrow.
