A suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder of South Africa captain Senzo Meyiwa.
The Orlando Pirates goalkeeper was shot dead last weekend after allegedly protecting his girlfriend from intruders at a property in Vosloorus.
Zanokuhle Mbatha, 25, appeared in Boksburg Magistrates Court this afternoon and will remain in custody until his next court appearance on November 11.
Police were searching for three suspects after the shooting.
