Harry Kane has become engaged to childhood sweetheart Kate Goodland after proposing on Saturday afternoon.

The Tottenham Hotspur forward shared the news on his official Twitter page, revealing that Goodland "said yes" after the England international popped the question on their summer holiday in the Bahamas.

Kane and Goodland attended the same school, and their first child, Ivy Jane, was born in January 2017.

Kane, 23, has scored 99 times in just 165 appearances for Tottenham, including 35 in 38 appearances last season as he enjoyed his best scoring campaign since turning professional in 2009.

Spurs are due to return to pre-season training on Monday, but Kane has been given extra time off due to his international commitments for England last month.
