Olympic champion Jessica Ennis has admitted that she felt uncomfortable when her fellow Team GB athletes would ask for a photo with her during London 2012.
The 26-year-old, who won a gold medal in the heptathlon, became the face of the Games before they began in England's capital and the attention surrounding the athlete intensified after she won her event.
"It was weird going into the village," Ennis told the Daily Mail. "Some of the British athletes from other sports were asking for pictures with me and things like that. I felt we were one team, we were all the same, but they wanted pictures and that was really weird."
Ennis is one of 12 nominees shortlisted for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.
