The chief executive of the British Paralympic Association Tim Hollingsworth has said that Paralympic sport must "build on the momentum" the London Games has created.
Hillingsworth said that the Paralympics, which has seen the Olympic Stadium packed to capacity for the evening athletics sessions, must learn from its success and establish the next generation of athletes.
"We've got an incredible momentum coming out of London," London24.com quotes Hollingsworth as saying.
"It's an incredible journey, it's a fast-moving journey. The challenge now is to learn from all the positives that have come out of London and build on the momentum in this country."
Great Britain are currently second in the medal table, with 33 golds and 116 overall.
