Olympic gymnast Louis Smith and new girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburgh have spoken publicly for the first time about their relationship.
The couple were rumoured to have been dating after they met on BBC reality TV show Tumble earlier this year.
Smith officially began dating the former The Only Way Is Essex star in December 2014 and admits that everything has gone smoothly so far.
In an interview with Hello! magazine, Smith said: "We've only been seeing each other for three months but it feels so easy, as if we've known each other for ages."
Mecklenburgh added: "I trust Louis completely and I don't think I've ever felt that way before. His mum even said to me on New Year's Eve, 'Louis would never cheat on you. He would never hurt you'."
Smith has an Olympic silver and two bronze medals to his name, as well as a further 12 medals from the World Championships, European Championships and Commonwealth Games.
