West Ham United midfielder Ravel Morrison threatened to throw acid in his ex-girlfriend's face, a court has heard.
The 21-year-old appeared at Manchester Magistrates' Court today after he was charged earlier this week with two counts of common assault.
The former Manchester United player is accused of punching and slapping 19-year-old former girlfriend Reah Mansoor and her mother Parveen on July 27 in Salford.
The court heard that Morrison also threatened to blow up the house of his ex of four years and have her killed, according to the PA.
The harassment allegation was added to the charges and David Fish QC, who was representing Morrison, told the court that the footballer will plead not guilty.
