The PR team working with West Ham United defender Angelo Ogbonna have taken the blame for mistakenly tweeting that the Italian enjoyed beating Arsenal at Wembley instead of the Emirates.
The 27-year-old's official Twitter page appears to be in the hands of SportSuite, who have been posting messages on behalf of West Ham's summer signing.
Following the Hammers' 2-0 win over the Gunners in North London on Sunday, Ogbonna's page tweeted: "Epic debut in @premierleague in a special stadium like Wembley: when reality exceeds the dreams! What emotions, what @whufc_official!"
According to 101greatgoals.com, once the blunder was spotted, the PR team removed the tweet and on their official website, explained: "We want to emphasise that the error in the infamous tweet is only our fault and not the player, who definitely knew he was playing in the Emirates Stadium!"
Ogbonna signed for West Ham from Juventus in July.
