West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill and witness intimidation.
The 25-year-old, who was questioned by police a fortnight ago on suspicion of assault, was detained on Sunday evening.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson has said that Sakho has since been released on bail "pending police enquiries to a date in early October", according to The Sun.
A spokesman for the footballer told the newspaper that Sakho "vigorously denies the allegations" and has given police an explanation of events.
The Senegalese forward has scored 10 goals in 26 Premier League appearances for the Hammers.
