A Wolverhampton Wanderers ball boy will continue in his role at the side of the pitch despite an incident involving the Hull City coaching staff on Tuesday night.

Wolverhampton Wanderers managing director Laurie Dalrymple has said that there were "no staff dismissals" after the Championship fixture with Hull City on Tuesday night.

During the closing stages of the game at Molineux, the ball entered the Hull technical area and was not instantly returned to the corner of the pitch where a throw-in was due to be taken.

With the scoreline at 2-2, a ball boy appeared to push a member of Hull's coaching staff in order to retrieve the ball before making a gesture in the direction of the Tigers bench.

The ball boy was eventually removed from his position at the side of the pitch and it had been claimed on social media that he would not continue with his duties for the remainder of the season, but Dalrymple has moved to clarify the situation.

Wolves currently sit six points clear at the top of the standings as a result of the draw.
