A fan has been arrested on suspicion of assault following an attack on Wycombe Wanderers goalkeeper Jordan Archer.
The shot-stopper, who is on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, was preparing to take a goal kick during last night's 1-0 win over Gillingham when a teenage fan leapt on him.
"A 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently in custody following an incident in the 93rd minute of the Gillingham vs. Wycombe match last night," ESPN quotes Kent Police as saying.
A similar incident involving Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Chris Kirkland resulted in a Leeds United fan being jailed for four months.
