A place in the last 16 of Coupe de France is up for grabs at Stade de la Source on Saturday evening, when Orleans entertain the challenge of Paris Saint-Germain.

The hosts saw off the threat of Nimes in the round of 32, while their visitors ran out emphatic winners over Revel to set up this weekend's meeting.

Match preview

Paris Saint-Germain continued their fine start to 2024 as they cruised to a 9-0 triumph over Revel when the teams faced off at Stade Pierre-Fabre two Sundays ago.

Kylian Mbappe was the star of the show for Luis Enrique's men as he grabbed a hat-trick and was joined on the scoresheet by Cher Ndour, Marco Asensio, Randal Kolo Muani and Goncalo Ramos.

Les Parisiens followed that up with a 2-0 victory over Lens in their last league outing to extend their league at the top of the Ligue 1 table to five points.

As a result, PSG have now won each of their last four matches and are unbeaten in 11 straight outings since a 2-1 defeat to AC Milan back in November.

Coming up next is the task of facing off against an opposing outfit who have been beaten in both of the previous two editions of this fixture.

Unbeaten in six straight matches away from home and scoring 19 goals in this time, Saturday's visitors will be confident of coming out on top and booking their place in the next phase of this year's Coupe de France.

Orleans showed great powers of recovery to kick off the New Year on a winning note by claiming a 2-1 victory over Nimes on January 6.

Karim Mokeddem's men trailed to Gauthier Laurens's opener just shy of the half-hour mark before hitting back through goals from Adrian Dabasse and Arnold Vula.

However, Les Guepes fell to a 2-1 defeat against Red Star in their subsequent league involvement, which saw them drop to 12th in the French National League, just one point clear of relegation danger.

Having won four of their last five home matches leading up to Saturday's affair, the hosts have established themselves as a tough nut to crack in front of their fans.

Team News

Achraf Hakimi and Kang-In Lee are currently away on international duty with Morocco and South Korea respectively, ruling them out for Paris Saint-Germain.

The away side will also be without defensive duo Nuno Mendes and Milan Skriniar, who are currently sidelined with muscle and ankle injuries.

Arnau Tenas has missed five straight games with a shoulder problem, but the Spaniard is drawing increasingly closer to making a comeback.

Orleans' Adrian Dabasse has found the back of the net in three of his last four matches, making the forward one to keep an eye on here.

Twenty-year-old Arthur Lallias is still nursing a long-term injury which was seen him fail to feature for the home side since July.

Orleans possible starting lineup:
Matimbou; Morgan, Saint-Ruf, Theresin; Ponti, Goujon, Solvet, Halby; Fortune, Berthier, Dabasse

Paris Saint-Germain possible starting lineup:
Navas; Beraldo, Pereira, Ugarte; Mukiele, Soler, Ndour, Kolo Muani; Asensio, Mbappe, Dembele

We say: Orleans 0-4 Paris Saint-Germain

Paris Saint-Germain made light work of lower league opponents in the last round, and we can see the French giants cruising to yet another comfortable victory come the end of the 90 minutes here.
