Dame Vera Lynn was an English singer, most noted for her status as "the Forces' Sweetheart" during World War II.
Her iconic songs included 'We'll Meet Again' and 'The White Cliffs of Dover' and the release of a new album in 2017 earned her the unique status of being the only centenarian performer to have a Top 10 album in the UK charts.
Having entered the business at the age of 7, Lynn's career ran to 96 years - one of the longest in history.
