Paul Nicholls's wait for his first winner at this year's Cheltenham Festival has been extended after Flaxen Flare won the Juvenile Handicap this afternoon.
Trainer Nicholls had entered both Caid Du Berlais and Ptit Zig into the race, but neither was able to catch Flaxen Flare once the four-year-old hit the front on the bend.
"It was superb. I've waited a long time for a win at Cheltenham," winning owner Pat Sloan told BBC Sport.
Nicholls's pair finished in second and third respectively.
