Lady Cecil, the widow of Sir Henry Cecil, has confirmed that she will retire from training at the end of the current flat season.
Cecil's death in 2013 persuaded his wife to take out a licence to keep their Newmarket base active, and she has recently worked alongside fellow trainer Ed Walker, who will leave Warren Palace in November.
"Training, for me, has always been about working with the horses and the team here at Warren Place. That has been a major factor in why I have continued since Henry died two years ago," Lady Cecil revealed in a statement.
"Therefore, I confirm that at the end of the flat season, I will stop training. Until then, the team and I will continue to work hard to achieve as much as we can with the horses.
"I would like to thank my owners for their much appreciated ongoing support. They have been fantastic over the last two years and I can't thank them enough for their understanding and help."
Godolphin founder Sheikh Mohammed is reported to be considering buying the yard.
