Midday made history at the Glorious Goodwood Festival by winning the Nassau Stakes for a third successive year.
The 5-year-old became the first filly to win the Group One race three times as she travelled strongly throughout the 10-furlong trip.
She showed an impressive turn of pace in the final furlong to beat the
globetrotting Snow Fairy and secure her sixth Group One win.
Midday's victory continued a fine week at Goodwood for her trainer Sir Henry Cecil, who also trains the Sussex Stakes champion Frankel.
"It's been a wonderful week. All being well [Midday] will go for the Yorkshire Oaks," said Cecil.
"She's been unlucky not to win more than six Group One races. She's a marvellous horse."
The Yorkshire Oaks is due to take place at York racecourse on Thursday, August 18.
