Jockey Ryan Moore will not ride in this weekend's July Festival action at Newmarket after suffering a neck injury on Thursday.
The 31-year-old, who made history at Royal Ascot last month by riding nine winners, caught the back of his head on the stalls at the track on Thursday.
Moore will undergo scans on his neck at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge and his agent Tony Hind has confirmed that the jockey will be absent from this weekend's action.
"He stayed in hospital overnight and will have a scan this morning to see if there's anything there," Racing Post quotes Hind as saying. "He feels fine in himself and is in good spirits but won't be riding over the weekend."
Moore was scheduled to ride in seven races today.
