JT McNamara has returned home to Ireland after being discharged from hospital.
The 37-year-old was being treated in a specialist spinal injuries unit in England after fracturing two vertebrae.
"JT and [McNamara's wife] Caroline wish to thank the doctors, nurses and all the staff," a family statement read.
McNamara suffered the injuries when his horse fell at a race during the Cheltenham Festival in 2013.
