Jockey Freddy Tylicki has taken to social media to admit that he is "struggling and fighting" after a fall left him paralysed from the waist down.
The 30-year-old was hospitalised after being thrown to the ground during a four-horse pileup in the 15.20 maiden fillies stake at Kempton a fortnight ago.
People have also raised more than £270,000 for Tylicki, who remains in intensive care at St George's Hospital in Tooting.
In his first tweet since the accident, the flat jockey wrote: "Struggling and fighting!!!! Thank you every single one for all the support! Here is to a long road in front of me! Much love everyone!"
Jim Crowley was also taken to hospital following the fall, but escaped with a broken nose, while Ted Durcan suffered a broken ankle and Steve Drowne was left unhurt.
