Great Britain remain well on course for a medal rush in the rowing events at Rio 2016 Olympics after three teams progressed through to the finals.

Team GB's men's and women's eights booked spots in their respective finals with impressive displays, as did the men's quadruple sculls.

The women had to increase their pace after reaching the halfway stage in third place, but they did enough to see off New Zealand and Canada into first.

Anything other than a top-two finish in the repechage for the men's sculls team would have seen them eliminated from the Games, with the four-crew team taking second spot behind Germany.

Rio officials are hoping to use Monday and Tuesday to catch up on all rowing events, having seen strong winds cancel each race on Sunday.
