Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has put the previous 24 hours behind him and will attend tonight's Super League Grand Final between St Helens and Leeds Rhinos at Old Trafford.
The 25-year-old was handed a straight red card during England's 2-2 draw in Montenegro last night.
Despite waking up to a number of negative headlines, Rooney has chosen to attend this evening's final and has revealed that he will be supporting the Rhinos.
"Just come to watch super league final at old Trafford," Rooney posted on Twitter. "Come on the rhinos.
"Started watching rugby league about 5 years ago and loved watching Leeds rhinos. So followed them ever since."
The centre-forward will now miss at least one of England's matches at the European Championships next year through suspension.
