Former France head coach Bobbie Goulding has admitted that it has been "frustrating" to be out of the game for the last two years.
The 41-year-old's contract with the national team was not renewed following a three-year stint and he has struggled to find his way back into coaching.
"I have no plans to retire just yet and it's frustrating to no longer be involved in the game," the Manchester Evening News quotes Goulding as saying.
"I know I can still do a very good job as a coach. The French job ended on a bit of a sour note and I just cannot get back in.
"It's not for the lack of trying on my part. I apply for jobs and know I could still do it."
Goulding, who played for Wigan and St Helens during his career, also earned 22 international caps.
