Fiji have advanced into the semi-finals of the Rugby League World Cup with a 22-4 victory over Samoa.
The eventual winners enjoyed a dominant first period, with three goals from Waisale Naiqama and a try from Aaron Groom moving them into a comprehensive lead with 33 minutes on the clock.
Naigama extended that advantage to 14-0 moments later when he registered Fiji's second try of the match, leaving Samoa with a mountain to claim in the second period.
Samoa finally opened their tally after 58 minutes with a try from Antonio Winterstein.
However, Naiqama continued to impress in the latter stages for Fiji as his fourth goal arrived after 70 minutes.
Vitale Junior added gloss to the score in the latter stages with a try, before Naiqama registered his fifth goal two minutes from time.
Fiji will meet Australia in the semi-finals next weekend.
