Bayonne picked up their first European Challenge Cup win since the opening day of the competition with a professional 14-0 victory over Stade Rochelais this evening.
The hosts were awarded a penalty try midway through the first half and Martin Bustos Moyano kicked the extras to give them a slender 7-0 advantage at the break.
The second half descended into a nervy affair as both sides cancelled each other out in dogged midfield encounter.
However, Thibaut Visensang ensured that Bayonne emerged victorious with his side's second try nine minutes from time to keep their slender hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages alive.
