Two second-half tries helped Grenoble to a Challenge Cup victory over London Welsh at the Kassam Stadium this afternoon.
Two tries from Laurent Bouchet sent the visitors into a 15-0 lead inside the opening 30 minutes, but two Alex Davies penalties brought Welsh back into the game by half time.
The Exiles failed to gain momentum in the second half, after a Florian Ninard try helped Grenoble open up a 12-point lead.
There were few other scoring opportunities in a scrappy second half, until Mike Denbee went over for the home side 10 minutes from time, giving Welsh late hope. However, a Feliuka Taukeiaho try seven minutes from full time sealed the win for the visitors.
The loss is London Welsh's third of their Challenge Cup campaign, while Grenoble sit second in their table with three wins in four matches.
