Damir Mikec has insisted that he will not ease up ahead of next year's Olympics after claiming his second gold medal of the European Games in the men's 50m pistol event.
The 31-year-old held off the challenge of Slovakia's Pavol Kopp and Turkey's Abdullah Omer Alimoglu to take gold with a score of 192.2.
"After the [10m] air pistol I didn't relax and I didn't celebrate. I just cooled down and prepared for my other discipline, which is my favourite one so I feel more confident here," Mikec told reporters.
"In the final, I was trying to not pay attention to the fact I was first. It's really stressful for the shooters out there, but I'm glad the second gold is mine.
"The season is not finished. I still have a lot of work to do until September and this is a pre-Olympic year so there is no relaxing. There will be a small celebration, but that's it."
Serbia have won four shooting gold medals at Baku so far, and sit in fifth place in the overall medal table.
