Ronnie O'Sullivan has pulled out of the Wuxi Classic qualifiers, meaning that Michael Wasley will receive a bye into the qualifying round.
The world champion had been expected to face Wasley on Tuesday, but the 37-year-old has withdrawn due to personal issues.
O'Sullivan won his fifth World Championship title at the Crucible courtesy of an 18-12 win over Barry Hawkins earlier this month.
It has been speculated that O'Sullivan could announce his retirement from the sport next month.
