World Snooker has confirmed that next year's UK Championship will once again be played at the Barbican Centre in York.
The venue first hosted the event in 2011 and has been on a one-year rolling contract ever since.
Speaking to BBC Sport after Neil Robertson won the most recent instalment at the expense of Liang Wenbo on Sunday, a spokesman for the governing body said: "The event was a big success, with increased ticket sales and a great atmosphere.
"The UK Championship will definitely be coming back to York again next year."
The competition was previously held in York between 2001 and 2006, when it was moved to Telford.
