Australia have secured their first gold in the pool at the World Swimming Championships with victory in the women's 4x100m freestyle relay in Kazan.
Emily Seebohm, Emma McKeon, Bronte Campbell and Cate Campbell broke the Championship record with a time of 3:31.48, finishing more than two seconds clear of the Netherlands who picked up the silver medal.
The United States, who were the defending champions at the event, had to settle for the bronze, with only Missy Franklin returning from the quartet that won gold two years ago in Barcelona.
Three of the Australian team also lined up in the final at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, where they set the current world record.
