Team England swimmer Joe Roebuck has played down suggestions that the Athletes' Village at the Commonwealth Games is too loud.
Olympic long-jump champion Greg Rutherford tweeted earlier this week that some of his fellow athletes were being too noisy in a bid to "annoy" other competitors.
The 27-year-old wrote: "Being in an athletes' village is great until the ignorant athletes make more noise than a herd of elephants startled in a china shop.
"I think some people are determined to annoy every other athlete around them. Strong words will be said soon."
When Sports Mole asked Roebuck if he had encountered similar issues, the swimmer said: "It's quite loud, but you just have to ignore it and get on.
"Everyone's in the same Village. There's probably a lot of first-timers, junior kids who are a bit too excited in the moment."
Roebuck today qualified for the 200m individual medley final at Tollcross by finishing his heat in a time of 2:00.46.
