Team Scotland's Duncan Scott has collected his third medal of the Commonwealth Games, picking up a bronze in the men's 200m butterfly event.
The 20-year-old has already picked up bronze medals in the 200m freestyle and 4x100m freestyle on the Gold Coast but was unable to venture further up the podium today as South Africa's Chad le Clos stormed to victory with a new Games record.
Le Clos was a man on a mission in the pool tonight, leading the way at every split and eventually claiming his gold with a time of 1:54.00, eclipsing his own record from four years ago by more than a second.
Scott, meanwhile, saved his all for the final length when he rose up the rankings from fifth to third, pipping home favourite Grant Irvine to the bronze by 0.31s.
Australia did have some presence on the podium, however, with David Morgan taking the silver with a time of 1:56.36.
Team England teenager Jacob Peters put in an admirable performance on his debut Games, finishing fifth with a time of 1:57.75.
