Great Britain's Daniel Wallace finishes sixth in the 400m individual medley final ahead of teammate Roberto Pavoni at the World Swimming Championships.

British swimmers Daniel Wallace and Roberto Pavoni have missed out on the medals in the 400m individual medley final at the World Swimming Championships in Russia.

Wallace finished sixth in a time of 4:13.77, just beating his teammate, who had to settle for seventh.

Japan's Daiya Seto claimed victory again, having also won the same discipline in Barcelona in 2013, finishing over a second ahead of Hungary's David Verraszto.

Chase Kalisz of the United States, who won silver two years ago, secured the final spot on the podium.
